Father McGivney's understanding of Christian manhood, family life, spousal fidelity and service to neighbor is enshrined in the organizational principles of the Order, the ceremonials by which candidates are incorporated into the various degrees and the four "pillars" on which the whole brotherhood rests: charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.
