Mike Conrad Announces “Servant of the Shepherd”
Incentive Program for Membership Recruitment Efforts
Council Incentive
Every council that obtains 200% or more of their membership quota as set by Supreme, will have their Grand Knight, his spouse, and the Council Chaplain recognized with an invitation to a private, intimate dinner with the respective Bishop of their diocese. These honored Grand Knights and Council Chaplains will be presented a special lapel pin that will be blessed by the Bishop and that commemorates their achievements.
Top Diocese Recruiter Incentive
The top two recruiters, spouses, and Council Chaplain of each Diocese (fifteen in total) will be honored with an invitation to attend a private intimate dinner with their respective Bishop of their Diocese. These top recruiters will then be presented with a special lapel pin that will be blessed by their Bishop that commemorates the dinner. Note: This dinner will held in conjunction with the Council Incentive dinner.
Individual Recruiter Incentive
Every Brother Knight who recruits one new member will receive a lapel pin displaying his efforts as a recruiter with the Knights of Columbus.
Crucifixes Blessed by the Pope is Part of a New Recruitment Incentive Program
As many of you know, this fraternal year we have dedicated our membership drive to the three bishops of Nebraska. In the first half of the fraternal year, I offered three $50 cash drawing prizes that were given to three councils in the state for their recruiting efforts. As we enter the second half of the fraternal year, the focus will be on the proposer and recognizing these individuals for their efforts.
I am excited to announce an original incentive program to do just that. Coordinated with Monsignor James Reinert of the Pontifical Council of Peace and Justice of the Vatican, the State Council obtained four wooden crucifixes that were blessed on Sunday, February 1, 2009, by Pope Benedict XVI. Wouldn’t you like to have one of these beautiful crucifixes blessed by our Holy Father in your home?
Here’s how to qualify for a chance to win one:
1. For each new member that you propose and bring into the Order, that number of entries will be placed into a drawing in your name.
2. Names will be drawn in July at the Grand Knights Seminar. Four Brother Knights across the state who have recruited new members will be rewarded for their efforts in supporting the Church, their bishop, and the Knights of Columbus.
The drawing, held in July at the Grand Knights Seminar, will give us the opportunity to gather all the proposers’ names and enter the correct amount of chances for each of them. These crucifixes are truly a unique way for me to thank some of you for all of your efforts and support.
