2010 Tootsie Roll Drive
The dates for the 2010 Tootsie Roll® Drive are April 9, 10, 11. Packets will be sent in January to each Financial Secretary. Be sure to get the council Tootsie Rolls ordered early.
- All proceeds must be sent to us (100 percent). No part of the proceeds from the council drive can be distributed by the council. Failure to send the full amount jeopardizes the non-profit status of the Foundation and of your individual councils.
- All correspondence from the Health Services Co-Directors will be to the council’s Financial Secretary.
- Checks for the council’s share of the drive will be made payable to the charity you request. No check can be made payable to an individual or council, ESU’s or public schools.
Help Special Olympics with your share of the Tootsie Roll proceeds.
Your council can help Special Olympics in 2010 by contributing a percentage of your portion (50%) of the net proceeds. On the reporting form there is a line for you to indicate that your council would like to donate to Special Olympics.
For example, if your council earns $1,000 in net proceeds, your council can request that checks totaling $500 (50% of net proceeds of $1,000) can be issued to qualifying organizations, one of which can be Special Olympics. See the reporting form.
