K.C. Council Hopes
to Keep Club Open

Although the 90-day stay in foreclosure proceedings involving the Knights of Columbus clubhouse at Twenty-second and Dodge, is up Tuesday, William Lovely, grand knight of Omaha council 652, said today that there still must be publication of notice of sale for 30 days if the mortgage holders decide to go ahead.
"We are still hopeful that things will work out and that we can keep the clubhouse open." he said.
About 150 new members have been enrolled n the membership campaign, which will continue.  A meeting of the council is to be held tonight.  Lovely said it has not been decided whether to appeal to the courts for a further stay under the new Nebraska mortgage foreclosure moratorium law.
