Set for Sunday
The Knights of Columbus will aid in observance of "Americanism Day" set aside by President Roosevelt for Sunday, May 19, with a nationwide "Prayer for Peace" broadcast originating at station KMBC, Kansas City, Mo., Supreme Knight, Francis P. Matthews said here today.
Most Rev. Edward V. O'Hara, bishop of Kansas City, and Matthews will be principal speakers. The broadcast will close with benediction and prayer for pease by Archbishop Francis J. Spellman in New York. The 35-voice a cappella choir of Boys Town, under direction of Fritz Carlson, will sing. The broadcast will be from 6 to 6:30P.M., CST, over Columbia network.
