Initiation Includes 82
South Omahans

South Omaha Council 3019 of the Knights of Columbus was created Sunday night.
The Right Rev. James McKay, Kansas City, Mo., inaugurated at the Livestock Exchang Building with a plea to members to "keep your ideals in this hour of world disillusionment."
Earlier 82 South Omahans were initiated to the Council at SS. Peter and Paul School.
An estimated six hundred heard Father McKay, Dr. Benjamin J. Haller, district deputy, and Edward A. Dosek, state deputy from Lincoln, with the new Council success.  Many of the banquet guests include members of the Omaha Council 652 and representatives from other councils in Nebraska.
Thomas Schuyler, acting grand knight of the new council, predicted a large membership.  "We have a fine start," Mr. Schuyler said, "and it is up to us to keep this organization growing."
John Kelley, Creighton University Director of Publicity, master of ceremonies.
