NEWSLETTER
JANUARY 2012

GRAND KNIGHTS REPORT:
We come to the end of the year with a positive attitude as we look forward to the new year. I’m sure you have enjoyed many blessings and will again in 2012. I want to wish each of you ad your family members a Happy New Year - one filled with Joy and good health.
Our Christmas dinner and gift exchange went off well. We had 74 people who not only enjoyed a great prime rib dinner but a lot of fun with the gift exchange. I saw a number of people making exchanges of their gift not always to the happiness of the person who lost theirs and had to find another. But it was all in good jest and fun for all.
On Sunday, January 15 th we will do two things at St. Theresa’s Church. First, we will have coffee, orange juice and donuts after the 8 AM and 10 AM masses, at the same time we wish to recruit new members. Second, we will have a corporate communion during the 10 AM mass. The 4th degree honor guard will be with us. Any member and his family is encouraged to meet in the basement before the mass. Then, we will go up and walk in as a group to the front of the church to reserved seats on the left side. Msgr. Nemec, the acolyte and the servers will follow up. Hope to see many of you there.

KNIGHT OF THE MONTH:
The Knight of the Month for December is Dean Graham. Dean spent many, many hours preparing the Christmas Dinner. Thanks Dean for making the Christmas Dinner a tremendous success.

KNIGHT FAMILY OF THE MONTH:
The Knight Family of the Month for December is Dennis and Elaine Hruby. The Hruby family decorated the hall for our special Christmas dinner. Thanks Dennis and Elaine.

VALENTINE’S DINNER:
On February 11th we will be having a Valentine’s day dinner. Check your newsletter and church bulletin for the menu and other details.

NATIVITY SCENE AT ST. TERESA’S:
We will be taking down the Nativity scene at St. Teresa’s on Saturday morning, January 7th, We will begin at 9:30 AM. If you are available please come help us.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
•Jan 7th- 9:30 AM, Nativity Scene take down at St. Teresa’s. •Jan 14th-Free Throw contest @ St. Teresa’s, begins at 12:00 PM.
•Jan 15th-Corporate Communion at St. Teresa’s during the 10:00 AM mass. Meet in the church basement at 9:45 AM. •Jan 15th- Coffee and donuts following the 8 and 10 AM masses.
•Jan 16th- Regular meeting, 7:30 PM at the Knight’s Hall. •Jan 30th-Officer’s meeting, 7:30 PM at the Knight’s Hall.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE:
We will be having a membership drive along with our Corporate Communion on January 15th. If you know anyone interested in joining our council invite them to come to the mass and visit with a Knight during the coffee and donuts afterwards. Our future is in recruiting young men to join our council.

VOLUNTEER SHEET:
You will be receiving your annual volunteer sign up sheet in the mail along with your dues. Please return this sheet promptly so we may begin making schedules for this year’s events.
