2009 Bowling Tournament Rules

1. Only members or wives, widows or daughters of Knights of Columbus members are eligible to bowl.

2. Entrants may bowl on more than one team subject to these conditions.

  1. No more than 3 bowlers may comprise a second entry and place in the prize standings.
  2. First team event bowled will count towards All Events.

3. There will be no more than one entry per bowler in Singles and All Events.

4. Prize Fees returned 100%. Ratio 1 for 5 in Team, Doubles and Singles, 1 for 10 in All Events.

5. Handicap will be 90% of the difference between individual bowler’s average and 200.

6. Team event scores will be based on Rule 5.

7. Entrants will use highest average in their association for 21 games or more for last season except:

  1. If current season high average, for 21 games or more, is 10 pins or higher than last seasons high book average, he/she will use current average as of December 31st, 2009.
  2. Late members of the association who were not members of the association last season will have until December 31st, 2009 to reach 21 games.
  3. All other bowlers will use a 160 average for men and a 120 average for women.

8. Doubles and Singles will be in one division with doubles bowled first.

9. Bowlers must enter both doubles and singles. You may enter doubles more than once, but can only cash once with the same partner. You may cash as often as you change partners. ABC rule 317.

10. No entries scheduled without payment in full. Tournament director reserves the right to assign different times other than what is on the entry form.

11. No refunds after closing date except in extreme emergencies. Knights of Columbus Board of Directors will make the final decision.

12. Tournament prize winnings need not be reported.

13. All bowlers should be aware and familiar with ABC rule No. 319E. For example: rerating average (rule 7-a above).

14. All bowlers should be aware and familiar with ABC rule No. 319A-1,2,3. Failure to use the proper average or make correction prior to completion of the first game of series shall disqualify score if submitted average is lower than actual average of base prize winnings on submitted average if it is higher.

15. All Events you may only enter once.
